Norwegian oil sector projects massive decline in investments next year

The Norwegian oil and gas sector looks set for a marked decline in investment levels in 2021, according to a survey by Statistics Norway. This is due to the corona crisis and the oil price collapse.

A steep decline in investments awaits Norway's oil and gas sector next year after the corona crisis and a considerable drop in oil prices have created challenges to the industry, as indicated by a quarterly survey published by agency Statistics Norway (SSB) on Thursday.
