Poor welding quality delays Equinor's mega ship for Johan Castberg

Equinor's next big oil adventure has been dubbed Johan Castberg, but now the enormous production vessel, being built at Sembcorp Marine in Singapore, is severely delayed. And poorly welded.

The delivery of a mega ship to Norway's next big oil field, Johan Castberg in the Barents Sea, is now so delayed that production may not start until late 2023 or, worst case, even later, writes Norwegian media Upstream.
