Exxon, Chevron CEOs excoriated in seven-hour D.C. climate hearing

Oil bosses denied having buried findings on fossil fuels being the primary man-made cause of climate change as early as the 1970s and engaging "shadow groups" to sow doubts about climate science. Republicans came to their defense, calling the Democrat-led hearing "craziness".
