Cadeler strikes deal with Vestas on 64 offshore wind turbines

Wind carrier Cadeler is set to aid turbine maker Vestas by transporting and installing 64 15MW offshore wind turbines in the German North Sea.

Danish wind carrier Cadeler has signed a contract with compatriot wind turbine manufacturer Vestas on transport and installation of 64 of the latter’s offshore wind turbines, according to a press release from Cadeler.

The 64 turbines each have a capacity of 15MW and will be part of the He-Dreith wind farm in the German North Sea. For this task, Cadeler will use one of its O-class ships, which by project start will have a lifting capacity of 1,600 tonnes.
