California governor plans calls for major boost to state's offshore wind

The US’ most populous state, California, has set an offshore wind target of too little ambition, says State Governor Gavin Newsom, a democrat.

In a letter sent to the California Air Resources Board (CARB), Newsom calls for upgrading the capacity goal to 20GW by 2045, thus exceeding the prior objective of 15GW.
