The UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has approved the merger between Maersk Drilling and US company Noble.

According to Bloomberg News, the authorities will not demand a deeper examination of the merger.

In June, Noble announced a sale of five rigs, which was a precondition for CMA’s approval of the merger.

It was stated at the time that the merger could be completed by the end of the third quarter in case of an approval from the British authorities.
