Clerc considered other solutions than selling Maersk Supply Service to main shareholder

Maersk Chair Robert Mærsk Uggla confirms that he was not involved in Maersk’s divestment of Maersk Supply Service to the Maersk family’s holding company, A.P. Moller Holding.

Other solutions were under consideration, but in the end Maersk chose to hand off offshore service provider Maersk Supply Service to main shareholder A.P. Moller Holding in a transaction of USD 685m, Maersk CEO Vincent Clerc confirmed at Tuesday’s press meeting, following the shipping and logistics group’s annual general assembly.
