Strike averted as Norwegian offshore labor deal falls into place

Labor unions had announced a strike for 1,640 offshore workers from Thursday, but an agreement was reached in the nick of time.

1,640 members of three Norwegian trade unions will return to work as usual on Thursday, as a strike in the sector has been called off.
