Maersk Supply Service keeps building despite project closure

Equinor and BP’s decision to cancel a US offshore wind farm impacts Maersk Supply Service, but the company will keep building installation vessels.

The consequences of Equinor and BP’s retreat from US offshore wind farms are starting to show. After the oil duo canceled the contract for the largest of its projects, the 1,260 MW Empire Wind 2, in the US on Tuesday, all suppliers have had to remove orders from their books.
