Intelligence agencies point to rigs as targets for terrorism
Are oil and drilling rigs obvious targets for terrorists? That's the case according to the Norwegian anti-terrorism authorities Politiets Sikkerhetstjeneste (PST) and Nasjonal Sikkerhetsmyndighed (NSM).

A terrorist attack at open sea against one of the oil or drillings rigs in the North Sea might seem unlikely to most people, but not to the Norwegian national security authorities who handle the threats toward, and safety on the, many installations in the North Sea and Norwegian Sea.
