Maersk Oil looking to shut down three North Sea fields

Maersk Oil plans to shut down three oil fields in the North Sea, partially or entirely, in an effort to cut costs. The decision could result in upwards of 200 layoffs.

The low oil prices are now making the Maersk Group's oil division, Maersk Oil, seek permission to close three oil fields in the British part of the North Sea, partially or entirely, as part of the company's efforts to reduce costs.
