Nigeria's oil profits in big slide

In the period from September last year to July this year, Nigeria's oil income has declined by two thirds, according to Norwegian Dagens Næringsliv. This will result in serious consequences for the country's economy, states Nigerian oil company NNPC.

The sliding oil price has hit Nigeria's oil income hard.

More than 90 percent of the country's foreign currency income stem from oil sales, and this income has been declining since September last year, according to Dagens Næringsliv.
