Viking Supply Ships hit by canceled contract

A contract for one of Viking Supply Ships' AHTS vessels has been shortened due to market conditions. The cancellation is worth millions to the carrier.

Due to market conditions, a contract for Viking Supply Ships' AHTS vessel Brage Viking has been shortened, the carrier announces in a brief press release.

In accordance with the contract, the ship will remain in operation until mid-August 2016. The contract was supposed to have continued into 2017, and the reduction will bring Viking Supply Ships a loss in earnings of USD 33 million in 2016 and 2017.
