The EU Commissioner for Competition will look into US-baed Halliburton's acquisition of Baker Hughes.

Margrethe Vestager, the Danish EU Commissioner for Competition, has not been bored since taking over the job in Brussels in 2014.

Since starting the job, she has hurled herself into fights against several of the largest companies in the world, from Google over Gazprom to GE - and now she is doing it again, this time in the oil sector.
