SBM Offshore CEO reaches settlement in bribery case

SBM Offshore's CEO Bruno Chabas and a board member reject accusations by Brazilian prosecutor, but they will each pay a figure to close the case, informs SBM Offshore on Monday.

Listed Ducth offshore group SBM Offshore, which leases drilling rigs and massive FPSOs to the oil and gas industry, has reached a notable settlement with prosecutors in Brazil on behalf of CEO Bruno Chabas and a board member, Sietze Hepkema.

This is evident from a remarkable statement issued by the company on Monday in relation to charges posited by a Brazilian prosecutor against Bruno Chabas and Sietze Hepkema.
