Norway to hold emergency meeting about the oil price

Unemployment is going up in Norway after oil companies have laid off thousands in the country. Now the government will make time a priority in aiding the laid off workers.

The plunge in the oil price is now so apparent in the Norwegian economy that the government has yet again summoned the head of the central bank and a number of economists to an emergency meeting to discuss the situation, reports Danish business daily Børsen.
