
In spite of the raging offshore crisis with layups and layoffs everywhere, the wages paid to employees in oil and gas extraction as well as mining are the highest registered in Norway during 2015.
This is reflected in the wage statistics for Norwegian employees, published by Statistics Norway. In the earnings statistics, it shows that one year's salary for employees in the oil and gas extraction industry adds up to USD 94,240.
