A2Sea suffers multi-million dollar deficit in 2015

Offshore carrier A2Sea delivered a million dollar deficit in 2015, a big setback from 2014. The decline in the value of cable unit CT Offshore is one of the reasons behind the bad news, says management in the financial report. CT Offshore will now be liquidated.

Danish offshore carrier A2sea took a huge step back in the latest fiscal year, delivering a deficit after tax of USD 15.7 million, according to the interim report published Tuesday. In comparison, the offshore carrier delivered a profit of USD 35.0 million in 2014.

The significant decline is primarily attributed to A2Sea's cable company CT Offshore, which A2sea is in the process of liquidating.
