Iran wants to double its crude oil exports

Iran is prepared to turn up the taps should the demand for crude oil increase. Speaking to Bloomberg, a senior official from the National Iranian Oil Co. says that the country is ready to export four million barrels per day when the market can absorb the volumes.

Iran will double its export of crude oil when the market is in a position to absorb it.

The country currently exports around two million barrels of oil from a daily production of USD 3.8 million barrels, but if demand were to increase, Iran is ready to turn up the taps.
