More Norwegian billionaires targeting offshore carriers

Yet another two Norwegian billionaires join the acquisition field targeting the struggling offshore carriers, a field that already includes Kristian Siem and John Fredriksen, reports media Finansavisen.

The offshore carriers are in a dire state, but this makes them interesting acquisition topics to numerous investors. Latest in the field is shipping billionaire Thomas Wilhelmsen of Wilh. Wilhelmsen, who together with Johan H. Andresen of equity fund Ferd is prepared to invest in the hard-pressed supply carriers servicing the offshore sector, reports Norwegian business daily Finansavisen.
