Statoil increases value of Johan Sverdrup field

Statoil has upscaled the value of the giant Johan Sverdrup oil field in the North Sea. First stage has a break-even price of less than USD 25.

Norway's Statoil has upscaled the value of the Johan Sverdrup oil field.

The expected full production capacity of Johan Sverdrup will be increased to 660,000 barrels of oil per day, writes Statoil in a press release. At the beginning of the project, it was estimated that the field would be able to produce 550,000 to 650,000 barrels of oil per day once Johan Sverdrup enters full production.
