Nordea Markets heralds rising oil price as "new era"

The oil price is very close to surpassing 2016's record figure of USD 52.86 per barrel of Brent. The price increase is attributed to the recent OPEC deal.

At USD 52.84 for a barrel of Brent delivered next month, the price is now close to beating the record set on June 9th this year where the price sat at USD 52.86.

This makes Nordea Markets declare that the price development in effect heralds a new era after a long time in which it looked close to impossible to break through the USD 50 ceiling.
