Statoil wins 13 licenses in US waters
With 13 new licenses in the bag, Statoil is now among the top five deepwater oil players in the US. The Norwegian company expects to double its US production ahead of 2020.

Statoil has increased its presence significantly in the US part of the Gulf of Mexico. After a completed tender, the US Department of the Interior has awarded the Norwegian oil major 13 licenses, states Statoil in a press release.
