Bourbon to develop autonomous vessel

France's Bourbon has signed a deal with several parties to join the development of the world's first prototype of an autonomous vessel for the offshore sector, writes the company.

Bourbon is now joining in on the development of autonomous vessels for the offshore sector, states the French company.

The carrier has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the company Automated Ships to construct the world's first prototype of an autonomous offshore vessel alongside Norway's Kongsberg.
