Port of Antwerp scores fifth record year in a row

The Port of Antwerp has beat its own record for the fifth year in a row, measured in port volumes. In 2017, total throughout grew by 4.4 percent according to a report.

For the fifth year in a row, the Port of Antwerp beat its own record in freight volumes.

The port, one of the largest in Europe, handled 223.6 million tons of goods in 2017, an increase of 4.4 percent relative to 2016.
