British ports fear chaos after Brexit

Extensive inspections on board vessels in British ports will become routine procedure if the UK does not maintain the common environmental and health standards after Brexit, warn the ports.

Without an agreement for joint health and environmental standards between the EU and the UK for when the latter leaves the union, ports will risk massive interruptions in imports and exports of food goods, warns the British Ports Association.
