New report: Ports need to use financial mechanisms in climate efforts

Even though several ports operate with green tariffs, it is far from enough. Ports need to use more financial mechanisms and be part of the sector's climate battle, writes International Transport Forum in a new report.

The world's ports should to a much larger extent use financial mechanisms as part of the efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and thus scale back shipping's impact on the climate.
