Wide-scale fraud case under investigation in Cosco's Greek gateway port

The Port of Piraeus in Greece has, according to European and Italian anti-corruption authorities, become a gateway for massive VAT and customs evasion on Chinese-made products entering Europe.

The European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF) suspects Chinese parties of wide-spread tax and VAT evasion in relation to goods imported to Europe through Greece's second-largest port in Piraeus, reports news agency Reuters.
