APM Terminals reaches agreement in port worker dispute

APM Terminals is one step closer to obtaining a crucial permit for Pier 400 in Los Angeles after the Maersk group's terminal company has reached a tentative agreement with local port workers, who fear losing their jobs to automation.

APM Terminals just reached a tentative agreement with the port workers at its Los Angeles terminal, who have taken issue with the Maersk-owned company's large-scale project in the port – a project that will, among other things, automate several processes.
