Port of Rotterdam grows its container and LNG throughput in 2019

The combined volumes handled by the Port of Rotterdam grew in 2019, as LNG volumes and the number of containers increased. On the other hand, volumes decreased for two types of goods in particular.

On the surface, the Port of Rotterdam was just as busy in 2019 as in the year before.

Last year the port handled a total of 469.4 million tons, which was 400,000 tons more than in 2018, reports the port.
