Investment firms buy terminal in Rotterdam

Two large investment firms now buy Rotterdam Short Sea Terminals with the aim of growing and upgrading the terminal.

Rotterdam Short Sea Terminals (RST) changes hands and will going forward be owned by private equity firm Blue Ocean Capital.

The terminal is described as Europe's biggest container hub for regional sailings and it has direct services to all of Western Europe, Scandinavia, Southern Europe and North Africa. The terminal is situated in the Port of Rotterdam and handles nearly 1.3 million teu every year, reveals a press statement.
