DP World wins latest court case on Djibouti port

Port company DP World has won the latest of a series of legal cases against a Chinese port operator in a protracted strife about a container port in Djibouti.

DP World has won its most recent legal case against China Merchants Ports Holding regarding container port Doraleh in Djibouti.

This latest case, tried at the Court of Appeal of the High Court of Hong Kong, rejects the Chinese company’s request that the case be brought before a Djibouti judge rather than a Hong Kong court.
