Port strikes in UK could "spell disaster" for Christmas shopping

Port workers in Felixstowe are on strike again, and Liverpool is warming up for another round as well. Strikes at these key import harbors could ”spell disaster” for UK retailers ahead of the Christmas shopping season.

Employees of the Port of Felixstowe are in the midst of a 14-day strike, while their colleagues in Liverpool have just announced they will also be ceasing work again from Oct. 11 to Oct. 17.
