Germany in need of ports for major offshore wind expansion

The Port of Cuxhaven, the center of German offshore wind, is running at full capacity, and the country needs additional ports for the planned offshore wind build-out.

The German government’s ambitious plans for a large-scale expansion of the country’s offshore energy supply could be slowed down by a serious lack of port capacity, according to media Handelsblatt.
