Port workers on Canada's west coast prepare to strike from Saturday

If a new wage agreement is not reached by July 1, port workers will stop handling containers on Saturday. Negotiations have been ongoing since February.

After protracted negotiations on a new collective agreement for workers at the ports on the west coast of Canada, the workers’ union has decided to call a strike from July 1.
