Hamburg-based Hapag-Lloyd will expand its Executive Board to five members when Dheeraj Bhatia joins the company on January 1, 2024, as a member of the Executive Board and CEO of Hapag-Lloyd’s new terminal company, Hapag-Lloyd Terminal Holding, based in Rotterdam.

According to a press release, Dheeraj Bhatia comes from a position as Head of Middle East in Dubai, a position he has held since 2018. In parallel, he has been a member of Hapag-Lloyd’s Executive Committee.
