Port of Hamburg chief says Russia's war has created new trade patterns

While container traffic to Russia is off at the port, transshipments to Baltic Sea countries is surging, says Hafen Hamburg Marketing chief executive.

Russia’s war in Ukraine has sent the volumes of containers transshipped at the Port of Hamburg on a steep rollercoaster ride, but at the same time, changing trade patterns are rapidly generating new activity with transshipments to and from the Baltic Sea region and the US.
