Maersk takes union to court as dockworkers negotiate new deal

APM Terminals has sued the ILA in the US due to a work stoppage. This happens while the union is negotiating a new agreement for 70,000 members.

Maersk’s port operator APM Terminals has sued the International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) because Maersk believes the union was behind a work stoppage in the port of Mobile, Alabama, in violation of the collective bargaining agreement, show documents submitted to the district court of Alabama.
