
Port of Singapore maintained its position as the world's second-busiest container port after Shanghai, according to a press release by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore.
The amount of containers handled grew by 2.9 percent last year compared to 2012, resulting in a total container throughput of 32.6 million in the port. The Port of Singapore was the biggest port in the world a few years ago.
