US container port achieves record-high month

US East Coast port Savannah saw its best month ever for container freight in July, according to the Journal of Commerce.

The Port of Savannah handled 293,889 teu in July, a 19.2 percent increase from the same period last year, which makes this July the best month ever for the US East Coast port.
