Rotterdam CEO downplays the risk of new strikes

After the disputing parties at Rotterdam met on the 14th of January, the man overseeing the negotiations has faith that an agreement is within reach.

On Thursday last week, operators and port workers gathered at the negotiation table for the first time since the discussions went awry in December 2015. No tangible results have come from the meeting yet, but both parties are ready to resume negotiations, Allard Castelein, Port of Rotterdam CEO, tells ShippingWatch.
