Gothenburg conflict spreads to other ports

APM Terminals in Gothenburg has been hit by yet another 24-hour strike, and now port workers in Swedish ports are declining to handle redirected goods in sympathy with the union in Gothenburg. Port workers abroad are also beginning to get involved.

APM Terminals in Sweden's largest port, Gothenburg, has once more been hit by a 24 hour strike. The conflict between APMT and the Swedish Dockworkers' Union (Svenska Hamnarbetarförbundet) has thus far not had consequences for other ports, but this has now changed, according to a press release from the union.
