Antwerp surpasses Rotterdam on large container vessel calls
Since March this year, Antwerp has overtaken Rotterdam as the most important port in Northern Europe in terms of the number of monthly calls by deep sea container carriers, according to a new analysis from SeaIntel.

Antwerp has overtaken Rotterdam in the number of monthly calls from deep sea container vessels. Rotterdam has traditionally been regarded as the port in Northern Europe with the greatest number of deep sea calls, but this scenario has changed since March of this year, according to SeaIntel Maritime Analysis, which has reviewed the number of port calls made by deep sea services.
