Commissioner of the US Federal Maritime Commission (FMC), Maria Cordero, has been appointed to be the new director of the major US port in Long Beach.

Mario Cordero has been the commissioner of the US Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) since he was appointed to the position by former US President Barack Obama in 2013 after two years in the organization.
