Media: Maersk forced to postpone opening of key Costa Rica terminal

Numerous practical construction problems could mean that APM Terminals is forced to postpone the opening of its new Latin American port hub to the late summer 2018, reports local media.

Maersk-owned APM Terminals' large terminal project in Costa Rica looks set – for the second time – to be delayed by several months, and an opening of the new Latin American container terminal will now likely not happen before June 2018, as opposed to the original plans to launch the terminal at the beginning of this year, according to comments made by general manager Kenneth Waugh in the Costa Rican Times.
