OW Bunker's estate has lost an appeal case against three foreign shipping companies. The decision creates a unique difference between foreign and Danish shipping companies.

Three foreign shipping companies won a case related to price agreements that could create a unique difference going forward.

The bankrupt estate after OW Bunker has spent three years to reclaim receivables from partners and customers of the Danish bunker group. In the recently decided court case, the estate claimed that the three shipping companies Macoil, Olam and Dana Shipping & Trading owed the estate money as they had entered so-called derivative contracts with OW Bunker prior to the collapse in 2014.
