Kuehne+Nagel: Global trade grew significantly in 2018

Despite the trade war, global merchandise trade grew at the same pace in 2018 as the year before, concludes Kuehne+Nagel in a new report. A solid year with limited growth in sea freight, notes the company.

Global merchandise trade grew almost as much in 2018 as the year before, says Kuehne+Nagel-company Logindex in a new report.

"Despite new tariffs, 2018 was a solid year," writes Logindex, which frequently takes the temperature of global trade with an index that draws on customs data and information from ports, planes and ships.
