Norwegian Maritime & Merchant Bank is impressed by how its customers continue to find opportunities in shipping even though a trade war and fears of a recession create uncertainty about the future.
The bank, which counts several prominent investors, was established in 2017 to create an alternative to the traditional shipping banks. Since then, its lending has grown steadily, and the same applies to the third quarter this year, where concerns about the global economy have otherwise intensified.
