Massive growth in North America for the Air & Sea Division represents a major factor behind Danish transport and logistics group DSV's solid profits in the second quarter - though the carrier has delivered strong results across the board, says DSV CEO Jens Bjørn Andersen following publication of the company's second quarter interim report, which came as a positive surprise to most analysts with a bigger growth than expected.
"We're enjoying a solid momentum in Air & Sea, and done so for a long time now. We've grown both through more tradelanes from existing customers, and we have also won a long list of new customers. And this has enabled us to grow faster than the market, and combined with tight cost controls, this means we can grow our earnings," he tells Ritzau Finans.
