Credit bureaus have no knowledge of pivotal tax shelter in fraud case

The defense team in the fraud case against a Danish bunker company does not think that there is anything peculiar about a supposed subcontractor in the bunker industry being virtually non-existent among the world's largest providers of credit information from the sector.

A tax shelter playing a pivotal role in an ongoing fraud case against a well-known Danish supplier of marine fuel has left a minimal trail.

Finans and ShippingWatch have contacted four of the world's largest providers of data about the shipping world: Infospectrum, Dynamar, Lloyd's List Intelligence and Platts.
